ProHeat™ Induction Heating:

1 System – 4 Basic Induction Heating Configurations

Induction heat systems, such as the ProHeat™ 35, solve common preheating and stress-relieving issues in various industries.

This efficient and affordable heating method provides quick and uniform heat for welding, preheating, post-weld heat treatment, coating removal, and shrink-fit applications. Whether in welding fabrication, construction, or other fields, induction heat systems can help streamline processes and improve results.

With this technology, what used to take hours can now be accomplished in just a few minutes.

The ProHeat 35 induction heating system is a game-changer in the industry, addressing several key concerns in today’s environment. Unlike open flames and electrical resistance wires,

the ProHeat 35 does not pose a risk of burns, as only the work part becomes hot.
Additionally, it eliminates the need for expensive fuel gases and produces fewer fumes than traditional flame heating methods.
The system also reduces particulate from overheated insulation caused by high-temperature electrical wires and ceramic pads.
With its simplicity and efficiency, the ProHeat 35 is a reliable and safe choice for industrial heating needs.

4 Basic Induction Heating Configurations

Liquid-Cooled Cables

The ProHeat 35 Liquid-Cooled Induction Heating System is a versatile tool that can be used for various purposes, including preheating, stress relieving, hydrogen bake-out, and post-weld heat treatment. It is capable of accommodating different pipe diameters as well as flat plates, making it a highly adaptable and useful system for various industries.

Liquid-Cooled Rolling

The ProHeat 35 Induction Heating System with the Rolling Inductor offers a reliable and affordable heating solution for those in the business of fabricating pipes, plates, and pressure vessels. With its ability to provide quick and uniform heat, this system is a go-to choice for many in the industry.

Air-cooled blankets

The ProHeat 35 Air-Cooled Induction Heating System is a specialized tool used for preheating applications that require temperatures up to 400°F (204°C). It comes with air-cooled blankets that can be used on pipes with diameters ranging from 8-60 inches (20-152 cm) or on plates with lengths of 41-205 inches (1-5.2 m). These blankets are designed to easily conform to circular and flat parts and can be installed in just a few seconds. Made from high-temperature materials, these flexible induction blankets are built to withstand the harsh conditions of industrial and construction settings.

Air-cooled cables

The ProHeat 35 system is a powerful air-cooled induction heating system that is perfect for preheating applications that require temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204°C). With air-cooled cables available in lengths of 30 feet (9.1 m), 50 feet (15.2 m), or 80 feet (24.4 m), this system is incredibly flexible and can be configured to fit almost any preheating application. Unlike liquid-cooled cables, air-cooled cables can be wrapped into coils of various shapes and sizes without the need for a cooler or coolant, making them a convenient and efficient option for preheating. With the ability to handle temperatures up to 392 degrees Fahrenheit (200°C), air-cooled cables provide the same level of flexibility as their liquid-cooled counterparts.
It is important to choose the right preheat solution when welding applications require preheat in order to save money, improve safety, and increase productivity. Your first step should be to determine what type of heating process you need; the next step should be to choose heating tools that are compatible with your application.
