Hoballoy 8018C1

AWS A5.5: E8018-C1 H4

Hobart 8018C1 electrode conforms to ASME BPVC Section II part C SFA 5.5 AWS E8018-C1 H4 classification, which produces 2-2.75% Nickel-containing weld metal, and is a high-performance low hydrogen electrode, with good arc starting and stability, excellent wetting action, easy to remove slag, which is easy to use in all welding positions, and very low spatter levels. This electrode weld metal exhibits very high impact toughness values upto -60°C and hence welding of very critical applications can be planned with this electrode where extra high toughness requirements are preferred like in Offshore, shipbuilding, piping, tanks and pressure vessels.

Welding Position
Standard Diameters 2.4, 3.2, 4.0, 4.8 mm
Polarity Direct Current Electrode Positive (DCEP) or AC
