-40°C Charpy impact toughness conformance is tested via ASME BPVC Section II Part C AWS A5.29: AWS E81T8-Ni2J H8 (undiluted weld metal is tested under ASME BPVC Section II Part C AWS A5.29: AWS E81T8-Ni2J H8).
It can be a big help to the users to start welding with a simple setup when the supply of shielding gases or gas protection is a challenge (like welding at heights, barges, pipelines, or moderately windy conditions).
It can also be used to weld single-sided full-penetration welds into plates/pipes/shapes, including T, K, and Y joints of tubular sections in offshore structures.
Onshore transmission pipelines involving steel grades up to API 5L Grade 80 can also be filled & capped using this wire.
