HOBART 18-1 H4R

AWS A5.1: E7018-1 H4
Welding of critical or heavy thickness Carbon Steel applications which need a basic coated low Hydrogen weld metal with low-temperature impact toughness properties with a good appeal to the welder in terms of ease of welding, high deposition rate, weldability can benefit by Hobart 18-1 H4 electrode. This electrode conforms to ASME BPVC Section II part C SFA 5.1 AWS E7018-1 H4 and can be used for steels with UTS up to 490 N/mm2 and impact toughness up to -46°C where low hydrogen (H4) compliance is preferred.

AWS Code A5.1: E7018-1 H4
EN Code ISO 2560-A-E 46 4 B 1 2 H5.
Welding Position
Standard Diameters 2.6, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0 mm
Polarity Direct Current Electrode Positive (DCEP) or AC
Application Hobart 18-1 H4 is an iron-powder low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding of 490N/mm2 grade high tensile steel. It is designed for single and multiple pass applications. The product has good welder appeal and produces a stable arc with low spatter generation. Product has excellent mechanical properties and impact toughness at -45℃ an low hydrogen weld metal
Industries  Its features make the product suitable for low alloy steels, medium carbon steels, heavy steel plates, cast steels, aluminum killed steel of LPG and especially for welding of steels with poor weldability.
