P47

P47 electrode conforms to ASME BPVC Section II part C SFA 5.1 AWS E7016-1 classification. High performance, low hydrogen weld metal, good arc starting and stability, excellent wetting action, easy to remove slag, all position welding capability, very low smoke and spatter levels, impact toughness up to -46°C, high metal recovery (up to 105%), ability to use in “As Welded” and PWHTed (1 hr soak at 620°C) are characteristics of this electrode. Root pass of pipe/plate welding, and fill & cap pass welding of pipes/plates are potential use of this electrode. Piping, pipelines, tanks, structural steel, construction, and shipbuilding are application segments.

AWS Code A5.1: E7016-1
EN ISO ISO 2560-A-E 46 4 B 12 H5
Welding Position
Standard Diameters 2.5, 3.2, 4.0 mm
Polarity Direct Current Electrode Positive (DCEP) or AC or Direct Current Electrode Negative (DCEN)
Application P 47 is a basic-coated, 105% recovery electrode intended for root welding with good penetration. P 47 has very good positional operability and excellent resistance to porosity in plate coated with primer or contaminated by mill scale and rust.
Industries shipbuilding, storage tanks and general construction purposes
